This year, we will see a unique sight – a full moon on Christmas Day. This is the first time this has occurred since 1977, and it won’t happen again until 2034, so it’s well worth looking out for. For observers in the United Kingdom, the full moon actually occurs at 11:11am, so you won’t be able to see it until it rises at around 4:30pm, but the astrological effect will of course be immediate.

The Full Moon on Christmas Day is in the sign of Cancer – a perfect fit for the festive season.
